David Anders is a popular American television and stage actor. He took birth in Grants Pass, Oregon in the family of Dr. Tony and Jeri Holt. He has three siblings- a biological brother, an adopted brother and an adopted sister. He started acting at a young age by appearing in school plays. David also played basketball and tennis during his high school years.
At 17, as a senior in high school, David portrayed Philip the Apostle on the regional theatre production of ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’. He portrayed George in his high school production of ‘Our Town’ in the next year. His next project was My Fair Lady in which he portrayed the character of Freddy Eynsford-Hill.
David next moved to Los Angeles. In 2001, he was seen portraying a high school senior in ‘So Little Time’. In the very same year, he appeared as Julian Sark in Alias. Before that he also worked at The Gap and taught tennis. He next made guest appearances on innumerous TV shows most notably Charmed, CSI and Grey’s Anatomy. During 2002, he made an appearance on an independent film ‘The Surge’. David Andres joined the cast of Beautiful as a leading character. It was an off Broadway rock musical that was shown during the New York International Fringe festival. He was next seen in the movie Circadian Rhythm in 2005. In 2006, he played an important character in the horror movie ‘Left in Darkness’.
David portrayed ELI in the movie ELI in 2007. He next joined Heroes as Adam Monroe/Takezo Kensei. His other well known movie projects are ‘Into the Blue 2: The Reef’ and ‘The Revenant’ etc.
In addition to movies and TV shows/ads, David Anders is a prominent name on stage. He played the leading role in the world premiere of ‘Rockne: The Musical’. In 2001, he appeared on ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’ and his performance helped him to win an award for Best Ensemble performance at the Back Stage West Garland Awards.
In 2006, David joined his co-star Greg Grunberg’s band ‘band From TV’. His other notable appearances include ‘The Source’, ‘CSI’, ‘Deadwood’, ‘Lie to Me’, ‘Children of the Corn’, etc.
