Hi guys! Well it seems that Greg Grunberg, who plays Matt Parkman on the superhero show, Heroes has been proven wrong! The actor, who had recently claimed on his website that the current season would be the last one for Heroes, virtually set the internet on fire with this statement. As a result of the statement, millions of fans of the superhero saga were frantically searching the net and making appeals against the cancellation of the show. However, it seems that Greg’s comments had been blown out of proportion as he quickly backed off from his statement and reportedly said that he was referring to the fact that crewmembers were often offered other jobs between seasons and that the show was absolutely safe. However, many people have been still clinging to the first misinterpreted statement of the actor and there are numerous fans who are worried about the future of their favorite show, Heroes.
Well, cheer up guys as today I am going to resolve all your fears. Yes, my friends, you can rest in peace as NBC entertainment president Angela Bromsted has confirmed that our favorite show,Heroeswill be back for another season. The season might, however, be shortened with the total number of episodes being 18-20, instead of the usual twenty three episodes. But the good news is that despite the recent sag in ratings, Heroes continues to be the NBC network’s highest-rated series. So guys, gear up for another adventurous and exciting season of one of the best superhero shows. And with the network having overhauled the creative team, let ups hope that the recent downfall in ratings becomes a thing of the past for this wonderful show. And there is a lot to expect as the creative team is now headed by the very talented Bryan Fuller whom we know as the creator of Pushing Daisies. So let’s keep our fingers crossed as we wait for another season of Heroes that is supposed to premiere in the fall of this year.
Although series has completed two successful seasons and the third one is also doing well, but don’t you think that something is wrong with the show. When I got the news that Bryan Fuller, Pushing Daisies’ creator, is joining ‘Heroes’ as a consultant, I felt quite satisfied. Hopes are, at least now, that series’ would again get the pace its’ known for. I’ve been watching episodes of ‘Heroes’ since the day of its premiere and being a huge fan of show, it’s really very distressing to admit that ‘Heroes’ is going off-center.
Following are some reasons making it difficult to get on with drama and of course are the issues which ‘Heroes’ creators must ponder over.
When we watched the season 1 of Heroes, we found out that show’s very close to reality. It touched the heights of success during the season but had one foot firmly planted on the ground. We saw people holding fantastical powers but still it was very close to reality and we always observed it as a drama rather than merely sci-fi. In fact, all characters had something to do with such as a family, a job and things like that. But now ‘Heroes’ is going away from reality and it’s the biggest reason why it has lost the faith of the viewers.
And, the other issue is too many characters, too many locations and too many stories. It’s hard for writers to deal with all characters’ storyline and their failure to keep up with the stuff induces viewers to lose their interest.
Ahhh…. We’re also fed up of the bored locations which are being used since the last two seasons including Isaac’s loft, Claire’s house and The Company headquarters…etc. Please let us watch something new and let the old stuff get lost.
Well, I think all hope is not lost and we’re still expecting something rocking from ‘Heroes’’. Guys….. Currently show is on hiatus and I guess when it’d return with new episodes in February…. It’ll have whatever is being expected by fans from a show which is like an identity of NBC Network.
Well guys as you may or may not be aware, rumors have been going around about Bryan Fuller rejoining Heroes. For those of you who don’t know, Bryan Fuller was the original writer for the series when it premiered in 2005. Many people feel that the show has been loosing its charm and with the dismissal of producer /writer duo Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander, the situation has deteriorated. I being a devoted fan of the show from its very beginning, feel sad to see the way the critics are targeting the show. I really fail to understand why they find the show to be struggling or in trouble. I think it is a great show and there are numerous ways in which it can be even greater. Maybe if Fuller rejoins the show, it will convince the critics that Heroes is back on its legs and running.
As for Fuller, he has finally come out with his situation about Heroes. He has reportedly said that he would definitely love to come back to the show. However this would not be possible before January 2009, since he is currently under contract for Pushing Daisies will be able to deliver the final episode by January only. So let’s hope that Fuller does really come back to the show, even if it only for the physiological satisfaction of some critics out there. Fuller is an excellent writer and I feel that he can find ways to take the show to new heights.
Are you confused of what I am talking about? Actually, here the hidden word is ‘ratings’. Although it’s doing well for the past years, but current ratings may have an adverse affect on the reputation of the show. As per the latest news, the most recent episode of series was down 11 percent from last week’s ratings… it’s a big loss! Just imagine- if it goes like that…… ‘Heroes’ would be out of the list of successful shows.
I know, I know only viewers are responsible for that so if you want to save your favorite drama, please please give it a big boost. Otherwise, you’ll see it on verge of cancellation! Hey! Come on get out of the serious tone and let’s talk lightly. ( I can feel the signs of tension on your face)….\
Well, currently series is running with third season entitled ‘Villain’. In the beginning of the third season , a special episode was aired on September 22, 2008. In this special episode, we met with the cast of the show when they all were interviewed at a party. Most recent episode ‘Angels and Monsters’ of ‘Heroes’ was aired on October 13, 08. In this episode, we see that Claire decides to take on one on of the villains but she’s not as safe as she thinks. On the other hand, Nathan and Tracy go in quest of the truth about their origins. Maya makes a discovery and Linderman’s true identity is also revealed.
Tonight will bring the next ‘Heroes’ episode entitled ‘Dying of the Light’. And the upcoming episodes are- ‘Eris Quod Sum’, ‘Villains’, ‘It’s coming’, ‘The Eclipse: Part 1 and Part 2’, ‘Our Father’ and ‘War. Wow!! Hey buddies! Do you remember, I told you that Tim Kring of Heroes, is going to show some bites from the third season at comic con and my friend Chris is going to see the same. So guys, Chris is back and told me about the trailers after making a lot of fuss about that. Well, he reached there with great difficulty for my sake, because I didn’t have the time to go there. Thanks Chris. Chris told me that from trailers it seems that the third season is going to be blasting. Because, they creators have introduced a new character who has a new super power.
The new character is named Echo, but here is some confusion about his name. I mean this name is correct and the name suits the super power he owns, which he discovers after growing up when he is married. But his name is Echo since his childhood. May be Tom Kring missed this point. Anyway, he is Echo and he can kill people with sound. In the trailers he tries this power on his wife telling her that he could make strange sounds. In trailers he is shown with his mouth sealed with some sound-proof gadget and his wife covering her ears with her hands to protect herself from his killing sound in car.
‘Heroes’ are introducing more and more characters with different super powers. It’s making me more curious for the season three. Well as I shared before, many heroes will transform into villains in the new episodes of the upcoming season, so I am waiting for that. You know this Echo man reminds me of a character in Aladdin animated series, which I used to watch in my childhood.
They were the characters who had broken a forbidden stone and they were punished to live abnormal lives with super powers and they became half humans. One of them had a power to break solid things with his voice, so the power of Echo seems similar to that. In fact I and Chris were discussing about this after knowing about Echo.
Do you remember the Heroes season 2 finale? Where we left? Nathan was bleeding to death on the floor after nearly revealing his superpowers to the world. This episode left Nathan on the death row and the series wrapped up for the season.
Is Nathan dead or alive? Will he be back on season 3? These questions were continuously puzzling me but now it’s time to heave a sigh of relief as Adrian Pasdar aka Nathan Petrelli has said that he will be returning for ‘Heroes’ season 3. So, Nathan and Peter will once again work together and it’ll be good to see them working together in the upcoming season.
He also hinted that the dynamics within the Petrelli family will be in front and center next year. The actor also talked about what really happened when those shots rang out in the second season finale. We’ll also see him with Claire in season 3 as he said he has plenty of scenes with her. I am ready to watch them on series upcoming season.
Well, season three is coming in September and we’ll have to wait for that. But at least for now, you’re able to spend this time without worrying about Nathan Petrelli. So, that’s what Adrian Pasdar says about Nathan Petrelli ……. Get ready to rock with villains on this upcoming season 3 named ‘Villains’.
